Special Circles
Each month our class has several Special Circles. These circles are part of the LNSU initiative to use Restorative Practices in our schools. Our circles include: mindfulness moments, an opening quote, a review of the circle rules, a talking piece, a centerpiece and several different Rounds. During the Rounds, each student can share his/her response to a certain topic or question. Today's circle focused on Guest Teachers. The students did a great job of sharing how they can help a Guest Teacher feel welcome and respected in our classroom. Special Circles are a wonderful way for our class to develop teamwork and friendship in kindergarten!
