Kindergarten Orientation
Tuesday, August 20th at 4pm
The children will meet their classmates while parents/guardians have an opportunity to learn more about CES and ask questions. The children will also take a 10 minute bus ride with CES staff while parents have the opportunity to ask further questions. Please come to orientation with information regarding your child's after school arrangements.
Kindergarten Screening
Monday, August 26th & Tuesday, August 27th
If you have not scheduled a 1 hour visit for your child to participate in kindergarten assessments, please call the front office at 521-5600 by August 22nd. When you arrive at CES for your child's scheduled assessment appointment, please sign in at the office and walk your child to his/her kindergarten classroom to be dropped off to participate in the assessments. These assessments are used to get a baseline on your child's academic skills in both literacy and math.
First Day of Kindergarten
Wednesday, August 28th
Your child will need a snack and a drink (no glass bottles or containers please) each morning. We have a water fountain in the classroom if you prefer that your child drinks water at snack time. If your child is not buying the school lunch, please send him/her with a lunch and a drink. If you are purchasing lunch for your child, he/she will have a choice between hot lunch, a sandwich, or yogurt. Milk is included with the school lunches or can be purchased separately for those children that bring lunch from home.
