Macgriff Reading Program
Cambridge Elementary School is pleased to have the “Macgriff Reading Program” return for the 10th year.
Students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade will be offered the opportunity to read with these sweet golden retrievers from the Macgriff family.
They will also get to meet Cheddar, the puppy, who will be in training this year.
Matti and Maisy and Cheddar
Scotty and Elizabeth will be coming to school once a week and will assist students with reading to Matti, Maisy, and Cheddar in the Library.
Kindergarten and First Graders will be able to read with the dogs for 10 minutes (3 students per week) per classroom.
Students will walk one of the dogs to and from the library and will get to decide if they want to read to Matti, Maisy, or Cheddar.
The students will read books from their classroom reading bags/bins/baskets.
Scotty and Elizabeth look forward to sharing their love of reading and their love of dogs with the children of Cambridge Elementary School.
